Vision
Valerie Faust’s vision for a new Albany begins with a laser focus on making the city safer.
By offering her leadership in the areas of education reform, job training, and social programs, Faust aims to encourage positive lifestyle changes to our youth and families. Encouraging children to stay in school, assisting adult family members in the job process, and building strong families by offering services to help them navigate through the system to help themselves.
She envisions an Albany where children stay in school; men and women hold steady jobs, maintain a secure home, and provide for their families. She looks forward to a city where the residents have real hope for the future and diligently works together to return our city to health and prosperity for all citizens.
Valerie Faust's vision also includes building a diverse leadership team, bringing together skills and experience from many points of view to meet today’s challenges. It is only by honoring her core belief in diversity that the people of Albany can truly be represented. How can an administration really reach out to all citizens when it doesn't mirror the people it serves.
Most importantly, she sees a city with safer streets and restored neighborhoods with low unemployment. Taxes are lower and our budget is balanced because we run a tight, fiscally responsible and forward thinking administration.
It’s all part of a new beginning, a new vision. A new Albany.
